Logistics Sales Executive responsibilities/duties
- Cold-calling, generating new leads and prospecting accounts
- Analyzing consumer needs and developing innovative solutions
- Educating customers about our shipping solutions
- Conducting research on customers that have a need for our services
- Qualifying prospects for size, complexity, and overall fit for our company
- Using Salesforce automation tools to track progress and report goals
- Grow revenue and relationships with existing customer base.
- Communicate effectively with customers, shippers, and receivers regarding changes in pick-up/delivery and potential service failures.
- Exceed all standards for prospecting calls, presentations, proposals and closes.
- Provide documented activity reports of your sales efforts on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
- Negotiate contracts and rate agreements.
- Support carrier reps with the coordination of transportation freight in a cost-effective manner.
- Document issues with orders thoroughly.
- Track/trace shipments when requested.
- Update Customer for their shipments & follow payments of his own sales.
- Educating customers about our shipping solutions
Logistics Sales Executive qualifications/skills
- High school diploma/ (Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Logistics & Supply Chain, or a related field preferred)
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in logistics, sales, or a related field required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to negotiate and problem-solve
- Knowledge of current marketing and advertising trends and best practices
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
